Soy Isoflavones And TTC

Most people are now looking for more natural ways to ttc now a days, there may be many reasons or the reasons may just be that they are not going anywhere with all those medications and is now willing to try a natural approach to trying to conceive(ttc).

I have been blessed to come across many forums and blogs, even vlogs of women who have had many success with natural herbs in getting pregnant, some, months on it or some on as soon as their first time trying these natural herbs. I am not saying that medications don't work but what beats going natural? Just as the herbs will work for some and not others, so is it with the meds. Today i will discuss Soy Isoflavones.

What is soy Isoflavones?
Isoflavones are phytochemicals, or plant chemicals, that can be found in most legumes, grains and vegetables, and are particularly concentrated in soybeans and some soy food products. Because of their estrogen-like hormonal activity in the body, isoflavones are more specifically known as phytoestrogens, or plant estrogens. Soy isoflavones have been highly credited for various health benefits, but the results of these clinical studies have been mixed.

Soy isoflavones act like the hormone estrogen in your body, and attach themselves to estrogen receptors in your brain, bone, liver, heart and reproductive organs. By attaching themselves to these receptors --- which are proteins on cells that receive the hormone and allow it to become active --- isoflavones sometimes function like a mild version of estrogen. At other times, however, they can prevent your actual estrogen from becoming active. This is very similar to the drug clomid which is why it is referred to as the natural form of clomid. So what soy Isoflavones do is make you ovulate, if you are not doing so on your own or you are ovulating way down in your cycles.

Soy isoflavones are found in soybeans and food beverages made from soybeans.  Soy isoflavones are also available as dietary supplements and many people prefer to take them in this form since this removes the guessing and all the worries of over dosing though very unlikely. The supplements comes with the amount in each capsule clearly written on the front of the bottle or you may have to check the label at the back to see what the exact amount of isoflavones are.

Note 
If you ovulate on your own and have a regular cycle, do not take soy isoflavones because this may mess up your cycles and may even prevent ovulation from taking place. If it's not broken, don't fix it.

How Are Soy Isoflavones Taken?
You take Soy Isoflavones just like you would clomid, the only thing is that if you ovulated on 50mg of clomid then you would need to double that amount with the soy isoflavones, so you would take 100mg of soy isoflavones and so forth. When i got my soy iso the dose per capsules were only 23mg so i had to take a certain amount to make up the doses i wanted.It is wise to get the ones that state on the front that it is 40mg, 50mg or 60-65mg, this is much easier to take. I placed some herbs on this page so you wouldn't have to go looking for them and they were the cheapest i have seen.

Side Effects Of Soy Isoflavones You May Experience.
With soy isoflavones the side effects are sometimes similar to that of clomid but it is very rare because they are natural, however you may experience hot flashes, headaches, diarrhea and cramps around ovulation time, this is normal because the ovaries/ovary is working to release your egg/eggs. Some women have stated that they had way more fertile cervical mucous, this is a great thing and can cause sperms to live a bit longer in the  vaginal cavity. i experienced egg white cervical mucous(ewcm/fertile cervical mucous) for the first time,when i took soy isoflavones.  It is adviced to take them at nights just to be on the safe side in case you do get side effects. I did not get any side effects but everybody is different.

Right Dose For You.
If a certain dose is not working for you, try to change things up a bit, like upping your doses, e.g from 50mg-100mg, since these often come in capsules you can not take 75mg,95mg and so forth since you can not cut the capsules as you would a pill. I have seen the pill forms though so if you need to do things that way,it is better to get the tablets. There are tablets of 40mg so 2 and a half tablets would make up to the 100mg, get the drift? hope so.  As i mentioned above this will not work for every woman on her first try but finding the right dose for you will definitely bring good results.
